Over the past 34 years, FALPT has partnered with numerous homeowners and families to help protect their land and provide peace of mind that it will remain in perpituary during their lifetimes and long into the future. Through conservation easements, land donations, and other preservation tools, we help landowners find affordable ways to protect their properties while also reducing the tax burden that can sometimes make conservation difficult.
The lands we protect are truly invaluable. Marshes, wetlands, coastal areas, woodlands, creeks, rivers, and farms provide essential habitat for wildlife, protect clean water, support healthy ecosystems, and contribute to the character and beauty of our communities. These places are more than open space—they are part of the natural heritage we all share.
Developers may see undeveloped land as an opportunity for profit, but once these landscapes are lost to development, they can never truly be replaced. The open spaces that surround our communities and the places where generations have walked, explored, worked, and enjoyed nature are worth far more than their market value.

For more than 30 years, the FALPT has worked with landowners to protect more than 1,000 acres through direct ownership, conservation restrictions, and other preservation agreements.
